Kha Shing 50′ Spoiler Motor Yacht Haul Out by South Mountain Yachts

This video shows “BLUE HEAVEN” a 1984 Kha Shing Motor Yacht being hauled for a bottom inspection for a purchase survey. The vessel is hauled at Basin Marine in Newport Beach, California. In the background we can hear the surveyor sounding the hull, listening for any soft spots, signs of water intrusion in the hull. He’s also looking for “blisters” that may affect the gel coat.None were spotted which alludes to the overall integrity and care this vessel has received over it’s life to date. The condition of the bottom paint is good and active. Not shown is the rudders and shafts being inspected. We do get to see the port prop: both had good bronze color, solid edges and no alignment problems. The shafts were tight in the cutlass bearings with no play.
In all this vessel, “BLUE HEAVEN” shows extremely well, and shows pride of ownership from the bridge deck to the bottom of the keel.
